Salaam! I am a mother of three school-aged children, book club member, Kindle-remote lover, part-time librarian, and resident early bird! I read across all genres but I particularly appreciate Contemporary Fiction and I love a good romance novel! I do my best to be thorough with my reviews so that parents and readers can make informed decisions on their reading material.

Assalam Alaikum! If I had to describe myself, I’d say I am a coffee drinking, cross stitching, e-book reading, homeschooling mother of three with an English degree and night owl tendencies. Like most English degree holders, I am also a teacher, with a combined 10 years of experience in elementary, middle, and high school. Many of my childhood memories include the beautiful public libraries around Philadelphia, and the journeys held in their books. My childhood experiences have shaped me into a staunch believer in the power of literacy. I do all I can to promote a love of reading in my students and my own children. Deciding which books to introduce is a constant struggle because as a Muslim, I am responsible for the content I read with my kids and my students. Personally, I tend toward reading historical fiction, suspense, and fantasy, and I am also aware of the need for clean, appropriate books -that are well written- for our kids. I intend to use my experience as a teacher, a mother, and an avid reader to give honest reviews on the quality and content of the books I review.
